tick tick tick she came to me in the night and poured into me her pride. when i woke i was starving, ready to eat for all the lifetimes i had already lived - to take up some caloric intake for lives i had yet to even think of living. when the first robin of the day saw her she jutted, ran to sides and felt for the security of a felled tree, of a limb lost to lightning. i followed suit. folded up into the felled tree below my bed and waited until the hunger left me for the robin's worm, wriggling and ready to duplicate when severed. 3.
feeling or you, my hands are opening and closing but there doesn't seem to be anything there to find, anything there to get a hold of. but i keep trying. i keep reaching, keep feeling into the silence of the moment, in hopes of finding the crack in the timeline that lets me grab you, lets me feel you feel to you again. as much as i grab, though, for each time i reach out, i make a pact -- to stop knowing the way it feels to touch something solid at all, to readjust that staid perspective and understand that shape and form are for me to decide, for me to feel - for me to decide. |
2.
when i stepped into you i had waited to find a moment in which you might not notice, but it became clear that you were twitching with awareness, and as a result i decided to just go for it. it was dark, and while there were vibrations that i had known before there were so many ways in which i was surprised to see you were actually quite different, after all. you were sort of sticky, in the way the night can adhere itself to a surface so that the light can be seen and you can know, again, that the opposites still exist. when i hit the cord that resonated through me, though, i knew that it was time for me to go, and so i stepped out of you and watched you as i had before. 4.
when crowley issued the edict i heard it from the wings of my ethereal waiting room, and i set myself to becoming ready to rejoin the ranks yet again. it was the way he said it, the way the law lent itself to him so unceasingly that a clarity that had been navigating for ages found itself ready to bask itself in its readiness. each day, now, i honor this choice i made, allowing my will to guide me back again and again to the ease with which the love may be increased and the bonds that break and tie us are forged through the ease of a smile of a reminder of the beauty that sits within you, that love is the law, and to fight for it is the only choice i ever chose to give myself. (PROMPT: "i'd like a poem about this ::points to my business card::. love warrior.") |
