A DAILY WELLNESS JOURNAL
WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?
this journal serves two major purposes. one: to help guide you into a more positively critical way of thinking about your day to day experience. the questions and the framework they provide will help you to think about your day in a deeper, more embodied and connected way. this sort of awareness may help you cultivate better habits and practices that may in turn help you find a more sustainable type of wellness and well being. two: as a record. by recording the answers to these questions, you will be creating a record that may allow you and/or your practitioner(s) to see some overarching patterns that might be be foundational and fundamental to your healing and well being, that may have previously gone unnoticed in your current pathology. this type of somatically aware and integrated record keeping may prove to hold answers to some of the questions which have as yet proved impossible for you to find answers to.
I created this daily wellness journal for my dad as he was seeking a solid diagnosis of Parkinson's. unfortunately he didn't use it at all. i wish he had, as i strongly believe that adopting this sort of thinking and approach to daily wellness can help slow the progress of the myriad issues we refer to as Parkinson's. in fact, adopting this sort of awareness and holistic self-consideration early enough in one's life might detail the (what we call) Parkinson's train before it has a chance to really get going. my belief is rooted in intuition, critical awareness, and hundreds (thousands?) of hours of research and study.
while this journal was made specifically for him, i think it holds value beyond the acute purpose it was created for. and while it was created specifically in response to his tentative Parkinson's diagnosis, i feel strongly that it can hold value for people experiencing all sorts of challenging conditions, be they emotional, physical, neurological, or existential. i hope you find this journal to be a of value to you, wherever you are at in your journey of life.
