Ghanaian artisans use the lost wax casting method to create these clever little cuties - a process of casting which is named for the way in which the wax mold melts away when the metal is poured. While some lost wax casting uses wax molds which are mass produced, each and every one of these charms is made from its very own unique wax carving. That means that before your little doggie was made of brass, he was a handmade wax figurine! Isn't that just amazing? As a result, each charm feels more like a little piece of art than anything else.
