Night & Day at the Wads
Oh, the Wadsworth Atheneum. One of country's most underappreciated and little know gems. The Wadsworth holds so many firsts its hard to remember them all, but some of my favorites are: the first publicly funded Art Museum in America, the first museum in America to do a retrospective of an openly gay male artist, the first museum to have a cinema in its theatre, the first place where George Balanchine staged the Ballet Russes in America, the first American museum to bring attention and validation to the Surrealists... I could go on and on! Suffice it to say this place is beyond expectation, completely invaluable, and should be on your bucket list of places to visit (if art and history and beauty are your thing, that is!)
This mug features the iconic castle architecture of the Wadsworth's landmark building. Half of the mug sits in the day, the other half in the night. Perfect for that morning cup of matcha and that evening cup of golden milk.
